When I am 35 years old………

 

 

            When I am 35 years old, I envision myself having a great career that I love, a wonderful family, and being financially secure. I have given a lot of thought to what I want out of my life and I have decided that I really want a family and I want the job that I do to impact people’s lives every day.

            I think that every person has basic needs that they want to be met. The most important need to me is to feel that I am loved and that I am wanted. My mom loves me in ways I can’t even imagine and that has always made me feel so good inside. When I move out of the house, I won’t be able to rely on my mom for all my needs to be met so hopefully by then either my husband or my kids can fulfill my needs.  Another need that I envision having is to be happy with my life. I have been through so much already but I still love my life and I hope by the time I am 35 that I will be very happy. That means being happy with myself, my life and all of the other people around me. Maybe not as important as the others but something I feel I need to make my life truly worthwhile is to be successful.  I have always had this thing that I need to do my best in whatever I do even if I can’t seem to do that something all that great. I am not sure yet what I want to do for a job but I do know that whatever I do, I want to affect people’s lives in a positive way!

            The thing that I think I will want the most when I am older is a family. I want two kids; a boy and a girl and of course, a wonderful husband. I have always wanted a family because I have been part of a great family for years and that is what I am used to. I also love kids. Something else that I want when I get older is to be financially secure. I hate that feeling of worrying about money and not knowing what is going to happen next. I also want to be able to provide my kids with the best things. I am not going to depend on my husband for this because you never know what could happen. I am determined to find a really good paying job. I know that this may sound silly but I also want a really cool house. I love to decorate so it would be ideal for me to have a really cool house.

            Certain values that have always been important to me are try your hardest at everything you do, treat others with respect, and honesty. This is what I was taught and what I believe is very important to everyone. I think that in any relationship whether it is with your friends, family or boyfriend, you both have to be honest or there isn’t really much respect between two people. I also think that if you treat others the same way you want to be treated,  they will treat you that way back.

            I feel that my strongest quality is my compassion for others. When people are not feel well or something is going wrong in their life, I like to listen to them and help them work out their problems. I also have very good social skills. I am able to communicate well with others and work with other people.

            Overall, the most important things that I want when I am 35 is to be happy and have a wonderful family.
